142 THOUSAND TEACHERS ATTENDED TRAINING PROGRAMS DURING THE MIDTERM HOLIDAY

142,425 teachers attended professional improvement training programs provided through Teacher Information Network digital platform during the two week long midterm holiday.

The Ministry of National Education has founded the Teacher Information Network in an effort to support teachers in their professional improvement plans and opened training programs during the two week midterm holiday. A total of 175,309 teachers have attended optional training programs in different subjects varying from climate change to water management, from activity based teaching to first aid. 142,425 attended at least one training program and the number of training programs attended by teachers reached 444,850.
 
Highest attendance was in climate change and zero waste management training programs
Teachers showed highest attendance to climate change and zero waste management training programs. 82,455 teachers attended 8 hour long climate change and environment training programs while 82, 639 teachers attended 10 hour long waste management and zero waste training programs.
 
"We focus on providing support to teachers for their personal and professional improvement attempts. Number of students who attended training programs provided by our Ministry in 2021 reached 2.9 million. In 2022, we founded the Teacher Information Network in an effort to provide rich training program options for teachers through the digital platform," stated Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer.
