BAKAN ÖZER MET TURKISH TEACHERS AND TURKS LIVING IN QATAR AT AN IFTAR DINNER

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer had an İftar Dinner with teachers working in Qatar and Turkish citizens in the country.

Minister Özer, his spouse Nebahat Özer and an accompanying delegation attended the İftar dinner organized by the Turkish Ambassador to Doha Mustafa Göksu.
 
Teachers working in Qatar and Turkish citizens living in the country attended the İftar dinner. Minister Özer expressed his happiness to meet Turkish citizens at the İftar dinner and to vist ally and brother Qatar.
 
Noting that Turkish citizens in the country are representing Türkiye, Özer thanked them for their role in boosting relations between two countries, sharing historical and cultural heritage and multicultural interaction.
 
Minister Özer said that he had important contacts aiming at increasing cooperation between two countries in the field of education adding that Türkiye experienced a rapid transformation in the last 20 years and it took important steps in many fields varying from education to industry and from culture to democracy.
 
"Türkiye will continue to maintain its strong position despite all negativities in the world. I believe that you will also continue to work in an effort to make our country stronger," Özer said.
 
Noting that he had visited the Turkish School and had a meeting with teachers working in the school, Özer went on to say that:
 
"I am proud of them, they work with dedication.. We had a meeting with them about how to serve better in the Turkish School. It is not possible to give better education to Turkish citizens in the existing 9 classrooms of the school. We will increase the number of classrooms to 36 and we will build a kindergarten building. Preschool education is one of our priorities. We will allocate required funds as soon as we return to our country and increase the capacity of the Turkish school. We will also take necessary steps to respond to the needs of teachers varying from language education to professional improvement training programs."
