MINISTER ÖZER WENT TO PARIS TO ATTEND OECD EDUCATION MINISTERS' MEETING

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer will attend the OECD Education Ministers' Meeting organized in the French capital Paris.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer will attend the meeting organized in French capital Paris between December 7 and 8 and participated by the education ministers of 38 OECD member states, 6 candidate states and 4 non member state (China, India, Indonesia and South Africa) and representatives of international agencies such as the UNESCO and the European Council.
 
On the first day of his program in Paris, Minister Özer and accompanying delegation will attend the High Level Political Forum and the main topic of the Forum will be "Role of Education in Rebuilding Societies."
 
Later, he will participate in the first session entitled, "Education: Investing in the Future."
 
Following the first session, the Meeting will continue with the second session which will focus on "Building Democratic Societies Through Education" and there will be interactive discussions at the ministerial level after the presentations of panelists.
 
Minister Özer will hold bilateral meetings with the education ministers of OECD member states.
 
Minister Özer will attend the official dinner with the theme "Redesigning Education Partnerships for Equitability and Inclusion.
 
On the second day of his program in Paris, Minister Özer will attend the OECD Ministerial Meeting. The main theme of the meeting will be "Building equitable and inclusive society through education" and education ministers will attend the meeting.  
  
Then, there will be the opening session of the Ministerial Meeting General Assembly and the theme of the session will be "Ensuring resilient and equitable education systems build the foundations of inclusive and equitable societies."
 
"Equitability and inclusion in education through the perspective of all humanity" will be also discussed in the parallel sessions.
 
Following the parallel session, Minister Özer will attend dinner organized with the theme of "Education for sustainable development: New policies for new challenges" and then "Adapting Education to Work Life" parallel session and finally plenary closing session where participants will approve the "Declaration on Building Equitable Societies through Education."
