VOCATIONAL EDUCATION CENTER CONTACT OFFICES ARE OPENED

Being one of the most important socio-economic development models of our country, vocational education continues to progress especially after the opening of 255 vocational education contact offices in organized industrial zones.

255 vocational education contact offices have been opened in organized industrial zones with the purpose of reinforcement of the coordination between education and industry within the framework of "Vocational and Technical Education Cooperation Protocol" signed between the Ministry of National Education and Ministry of Industry and Technology.
 
Contact offices are expected to provide dynamic human resources in the organized industrial zones.
 
Vocational education centers
Vocational education centers are 4 year vocational schools that are affiliated to the Directorate General for Vocational and Technical Education and founded in accordance with Law No. 6764. Graduates of these centers receive diplomas after the end of their education.
 
Who can apply to vocational education centers?
Graduates of secondary school or imam-hatip schools can apply to centers and there is no age limit for applicants. Students attend theoretical education for one or two days a week and receive practical training at workplaces for three or four days a week.
 
How to apply to vocational education centers?
Students can personally apply to the nearest vocational education center or vocational and technical high schools. Education begins after the student is insured against occupational accidents and illnesses that is valid for four years.
 
Application to education center and education process
There are vocational education centers in every city. Graduates of secondary school can apply for registration anytime they want. 9th, 10th and 11th grade students receive at least 30% of the minimum wage and 12th grade students get at least 50% of the minimum wage during their education.
 
Advantages of vocational education centers
Students of the center have the opportunity to get education in one of the 181 different fields and receive diplomas. Employment rate of graduates is 88%.
 
High employment rate 
Organized industrial zones have important potential in terms of development of practical skills of students. Vocational education centers with a high employment rate (88%) attend intensive job training.
