1 MILLION STUDENTS BOTH HAVE FUN AND LEARN AT THE SUMMER SCHOOLS

The Ministry of National Education opened summer schools for students for the first time in its history. 1 million students enrolled in arts, science, mathematics and foreign language courses in summer schools.

Summer schools provide students the opportunity to have productive and quality of time during summer while they overcome learning loss that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic.
 
414 thousand and 731 students enrolled in 16 thousand and 294 mathematics summer school courses opened in different parts of the country. This training program at the summer school aimed at developing a positive attitude towards mathematics and included a learning process based on fun activities and practices.
 
327 thousand and 104 students enrolled in 11 thousand and 566 English summer schools opened in all cities of the country. Total of 741 thousand and 835 students attended 27 thousand and 860 mathematics and English summer courses opened in the entire country.
 
55 Different workshops at BİLSEM summer schools
Meanwhile, 55 different workshop activities were organized as a part of the BİLSEM summer school program. Students attended workshops such as creative writing, mind games, music, thinking training, values, visual arts, aviation, space, modern psychics and robotics.
 
Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said, "We have organized summer schools about 4 different subjects for students. We have opened science and arts summer schools. We also opened mathematics courses as a part of our mathematics campaign. Students from 4th grade to 12th grade enrolled in these courses. We have opened English summer courses in 922 districts of 81 cities. We have accepted students starting from 4th grade to 12th grade to these courses. Approximately, 1 million students attended both mathematics and English summer courses organized in the Science and Arts Centers (BİLSEMs)."
