DEPUTY MINISTER AŞKAR ATTENDED THE EARLY CHILDHOOD WORLD CONFERENCE IN UZBEKISTAN

Deputy Minister of National Education Petek Aşkar attended the Early Childhood Care and Education World Conference organized in Uzbekistan.

Deputy Minister Petek Aşkar attended the Early Childhood Care and Education World Conference held by UNESCO between November 14 and 16 and hosted by Uzbekistan as a panelist in the first High Level Session.
 
Keynote speakers of the conference were Uzbek President Şavket Mirziyoyev and UNESCO's General Secretary Audrey Azoulay and nearly 2,500 participants from 70 countries were present at the conference.
 
The conference included presentations of participant countries, international agencies, NGOs and youth organizations about practices concerning early childhood education and care, hardships and solution suggestions.  
 
The conference has four main titles namely inclusivity, quality and welfare; labor force and caretakers in early childhood education; policies, governance and finance and innovations.
 
Deputy Minister Aşkar mentioned common problems about early childhood education and care in the world and made comments about developments achieved in Türkiye about early childhood education. Aşkar focused on strategies about the solution of problems and expressed her belief that NGOs and youth organizations will make an important contribution to studies carried out about early childhood education and care.
 
Aşkar stated that early childhood education is an important instrument for providing equal conditions for all children since the beginning of their education and compensating the disadvantages of socioeconomically poor children. "Due to this reason, every student must enroll in preschool education at least for a year," added Aşkar.
