HIGHS SCHOOL STUDENT FROM MALATYA WON THE FIRST PRIZE IN SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING CONTEST IN THE USA

Malatya Science and Arts Center student Feridun Balaban won the first prize with his physics project in the SPIE special award category organized as a part of the International Science and Engineering Fair in the USA.

A project prepared by Feridun Balaban studying at the Science and Arts Center affiliated to the Malatya Provincial Directorate of National Education under the guidance of his advisor chemistry teacher Zafer Güler on the "Productivity of Boron and Nitrogen Reinforced Panels Used As Upper Layer in Multi-Layer Solar Panel and Spectrum Efficiency" won the first prize in the online International Science and Engineering Fair Contest organized on May 4 and 5.
 
Every year, approximately 1800 students from 75 countries apply to compete in 22 different categories as a part of  the World's most important and prestigious international fair (ISEF) contest and students who are qualified in the contest have the right to enroll in any university program in Turkey without entering any exam.
