MINISTER ÖZER AND NEWLY APPOINTED TEACHERS VISIT RETIRED TEACHER KEMALETTİN ÇELİK

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer and newly appointed four teachers who are counting the days to meet their students on September 12 paid a visit to retired teacher Kemalettin Çetin who raised hundreds of teachers during his 41 year long career.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer paid a very special visit as a part of his program in İstanbul.
 
Hilal Kırmemiş, Mehmet Ali Yerlikaya, Haktan Lalebaş and Gizem Yağız accompanied Özer on behalf of 10,000 teachers appointed to İstanbul on September 1 during his visit to retired teacher Kemalettin Çelik after 41 yearlong service in teaching profession. 
 
Minister Özer used the visit to Kemalettin Çelik as an opportunity to express his gratitude to all teachers for their hard work and sacrifices for giving education to the young generations and said that experienced teachers have suggestions for their newly appointed colleagues.
 
Özer stressed that newly appointed teachers have an important responsibility to give quality of education to the young generation and carry Türkiye to a higher level.
 
"We will provide retired teachers the opportunity to reflect their precious experience to young teachers as long as we organize such meetings more frequently," said Özer.
 
Reminding that his Ministry has inaugurated an administrative academy in İstanbul, Özer noted that they have organized culture, history and civilization awareness seminars in order to collect all school administrators of all schools in Türkiye under the same roof.  He said that they will invite retired school administrators and teachers in order to learn from their experiences.
 
Özer went on to say that, "They have important experience. It is important to transfer this experience to young teachers. I would like to thank retired teachers and wish success to newly appointed teachers." 
 
Visit to Efe Güngör who ranked first in mathematics and computer test for secondary school students
Following his meeting with the teachers, Minister Özer visited Efe Güngör who ranked first in mathematics and computer tests for secondary school students.
 
Özer congratulated Güngör and wished success in his educational life.
 
Meanwhile, Efe Güngör expressed his wish to join the national team and win a medal in the Science Olympics. Güngör wants to become a software engineer in the future.
